Tips and tricks to make your Halloween party a hit
BoxFetti has you covered! Make your Halloween a memorable one with terrific treats and games to play. Here are our favorites to inspire you.
Haunted Halloween Snacks
Eerie Eyeball Cake
Make (or buy) a large, plain sponge cake and cover the top with green icing. To get a good drip effect, you can either use a spoon or squirt bottle method. Place candy eyeballs on top.
Creepy Cookies
Ghost, bat and witch hat cookies are perfect for a Halloween party. Buy (or make!) biscuits of your choice and icing sugar, add food colouring and you can begin decorating your cookies.
Gory Chocolate Cupcakes
The key to a fabulous looking, and tasting, cupcake is a big swirl of frosting on top. We can’t get enough of this recipe from BBC Good Food, follow the recipe and then add your own personal touches - we added gummy worms to ours - not forgetting the delicious frosting.
Witch’s Brew
Make a green drink and present it in a glass bottle, it’ll look awesome on the party table. Something a little healthier might be a good idea - we love this smoothie recipe.
To make your party food and drinks look even spookier, use BoxFetti’s Halloween tableware. Check out our Halloween themed boxes here.
Ghoulish Games
Kids will love party games with a thrill factor. Try these out:
Spine-tingling Scavenger Hunt
Give the kids a sheet of things to find to tick off and get them to prowl the house to find the Halloween treasures. Dim the lights and play eerie music to give a dramatic effect.
Stick the Hat on the Witch
Print off or draw a large witch’s face and make lots of hats from card. Use a toilet paper ‘mummy bandage’, to cover their eyes, spin them around and let them stick on a hat. Good luck!
Eyeball Toss
Stick several Halloween themed cups from your BoxFetti box onto a piece of card and draw some eyes on ping pong balls. Get the kids to take turns throwing the plastic eyeballs at the cups, to see how many they can get in.
